INFORMATION – ANIMATION & DRAWING CLASSES

FOCUS OF THE COURSE:

  • An Introduction to 3D animation, the focus starts with the fundamentals of drawing, gradually progressing to 3D modelling and character creation.
  • You’ll be learning the basics of animation and drawing, and what the benefits of pursuing 3D Animation is as a career!
  • Basic 3D Animation & Drawing.
  • Basic Modelling and Texturing.
  • Animate & create your own character.
  • Before diving into Blender, students must develop strong drawing fundamentals, as this helps in visualizing and constructing 3D models.
  • END GOAL: Designing and creating a 3D character

LENGTH OF 1ST COURSE: 16 Weeks – (students work at their own pace)

REQUIREMENTS: OWN LAPTOP

Blender must be installed before classes begin. It is a free animation program size 500MB as soon as you enrol we will send you the link to the Blender software program.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

ACHIEVEMENTS AFTER COMPLETING THE 1ST ANIMATION COURSE:

  • A “Certificates of Completion” under Bud & Blossom ‘Creatives’ – A document acknowledging your participation and successful completion of the course including a list of software proficiency, animation principles, or projects completed. Instructor’s credentials mentioned
  • Certificate of Achievement – For students who show exceptional skill or creativity.
  • Digital Badge – A shareable online credential for LinkedIn, websites, or portfolios.
  • Portfolio Review & Feedback – A personalized assessment of your work with constructive feedback – A strong portfolio can be more valuable than a certificate in the animation industry.

INSTRUCTORS CREDENTIALS:

Instructor: Merandie de Jager – BA in Film Arts, specialized in 3D Animation & Screenwriting at the Open Windows Institute

+5 years working experience as 3D Animation Generalist, Motion Graphics Designer & Video editor.

Owner of Company: Tanja van Biljon – BA Honours degree in Visual Arts, majored in Painting University of PTA; 25 years’ experience in arts education and versed in various creative training establishments.

COSTS:
R300 Enrolment fee
Adults (age 19 – ) R1500 per month
Teenagers (age 14-18) R950 per month
